FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Planning to transfer to a four-year college or university? Congratulations—you have an exciting journey ahead! If you’re like most transfer students, you probably have plenty of questions. Well, we’re here to help. Read on to find out a little more about us.

Who are you? Transfer Colleges & Universities is pro- duced by Carnegie Dartlet, America’s preeminent publisher of student re- cruitment materials. We’ve been in the business since 1986, so we’re ex- perts in connecting students with schools that match their goals. This magazine is now available online in a digital format, but we also send print versions to two-year schools based on an institution’s student enrollment, rigorous curriculum, and the number of students who decide to transfer to four-year institutions.

What is the purpose of this magazine?

This magazine has two goals. The first is to provide you with informa- tion about colleges and universi- ties that encourage and welcome transfer students. You’ll learn how to choose the right college, prepare a top-notch application, successfully transition to your new school, find and apply for financial aid, and much more.

Our second goal is to offer you a quick, easy way to request more in- formation from the colleges and uni- versities featured in this publication. You can connect with the schools you’re most interested in on our web- site, and we’ll send your name (and other information you provide) to those institutions. The schools you choose will send you more details about the programs of study you want to learn about, campus life, and much more.

Why haven’t I heard of some of these colleges? Every year, students tell us they discovered their school—one they hadn’t previously heard of— through our publications. There are more than 2,000 four-year in- stitutions in the United States, so don’t limit your search to only the schools you recog- nize. You may find the perfect college or university for you right here, even if you haven’t heard its name before!

How do I request information from these schools? To request information from our fea- tured colleges and universities, just visit Transfer.CollegeXpress.com and create a free account. The schools you select will start recruiting you. Plus, when you register, you’ll be automati- cally entered to win our $10,000 schol- arship to help finance your education! As you’re conducting your trans- fer college search, be sure to explore CollegeXpress.com, where you can discover additional schools, read more advice, and use our scholarship search tool to find over $7 billion in money for college.
