A student-centered university Many of our graduate programs are specifically de- signed for working professionals seeking to enhance their skills while advancing in their careers. Our flex- ible full- and part-time programs—such as the accel- erated MBA with Saturday and online courses, our online MS in Sport & Entertainment Management, and the Doctor of Social Work—allow students to complete their graduate studies without putting their careers on hold. Additionally, our Accelerated Pathway pro- grams allow undergraduate students to obtain both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in just five years. Southern continues to develop and maintain a
thoroughly modern campus, with our new School of Business and a complete library renovation project in progress. The ongoing expansion of our science pro- grams was greatly advanced with the completion of the new 103,608-sq. ft., four-level academic and lab- oratory science building. This new building enhances
not only Southern’s science programs but the Univer- sity’s capacity to educate more students in STEM disciplines. Embracing an innovative, sustainable design, the building houses teaching and research training laboratories for nanotechnology, physics and optics, Earth and environmental sciences, cancer research, astronomy, molecular biology, and chem- istry. The University also offers unique research oppor- tunities, access to fascinating internships, and a com- mitment to preparing strong leaders.
