Preparing students for lives of significance and service
N
orth Park University’s core institutional identity as a Christian, city-centered, intercultural university is the driving force behind our vision to be a place of uncom- mon character and enduring excellence, where faith, learning, and service meet. With an average class size of 17 and a 12:1 student-faculty ratio, North Park treats each student with the highest level of care and atten- tion. It’s all in our mission statement: To prepare students for lives of significance and service through education in the liberal arts, profes- sional studies, and theology. Our most popular majors include Biology, Business, Economics, Exercise Science, and Nursing. Located in the world-class city of Chicago,
the University’s learning community adopts the city as a foundation for academic excellence. We’re proud to educate students from diverse backgrounds, with 42% of our student body identifying as people of color. We practice Chris- tian hospitality with students of all faith tradi- tions while centering on the affirmations of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Our park-like campus is home to 15 varsity
athletic teams and an array of cultural, social, academic, and political student organizations.

Students build community with one another in residence halls, over lunch at Einstein Bros. Bagels, or while playing Frisbee on the quad. North Park truly combines the best of a tradi- tional college experience with the vitality of the city.
Most importantly, the University is prepared to serve as your spiritual home for the next four years, a place where your personal relation- ship with Christ will be nurtured and grown. Weekly chapel services, small groups, and our robust University Ministries department offer countless opportunities for Christian formation. For more information about North Park

Catalyst 606 Program
One of North Park University’s most unique programs is Catalyst 606. The program capitalizes on our Chicago-based location, allowing students to apply experiential learning to real-life problems. Catalyst helps students strengthen their critical-thinking skills while receiving focused attention from experienced faculty, staff, and members of the community.
Through Catalyst 606, students step outside of the classroom, serving and learning within their local community and gaining a stronger understanding and appreciation for the increasingly urban world in which we live and work. Students have firsthand experiences that allow them to identify vocational interests, be inspired by leaders in their fields, and establish relationships with invaluable professional contacts.
“ North Park prepared me for my career by introducing me to a wide range of jobs available within my field and facilitating connections between students, organizations, and companies.” — Rebecca Conner ’20, Environmental Science and Philosophy
