A different kind of Christian university W

hitworth University seeks to be the best religious university for Christian and non-Christian students. Faculty

and staff members from diverse Christian tra- ditions welcome every student—regardless of faith background—into our community, where you’re invited to ask tough questions, engage diverse perspectives, and think hard about what you believe and why.

Campus ministry exists to help everyone

in the Whitworth community have opportuni- ties to know and follow Jesus more in their time on campus. We believe that no matter how extensive one’s background is with the Christian faith, we all have the same founda- tional spiritual need—namely to know, under- stand, and experience the truth and reality of Jesus. When that happens, God draws us to Himself, transforms us, brings new life in us, and invites us to participate in His redeeming work in the world.

At Whitworth, we believe people grow in their relationship with God primarily through human relationships, worship, and service. We help foster relationships through our Ministry in the Halls Program and our Wednesday night Awake ministry. We provide campus-wide wor- ship opportunities through our twice-weekly

Chapel Community Worship services and Tues- day night Hosanna worship experience. We provide service opportunities through a vari- ety of important student leadership roles while encouraging and enabling service to the com- munity both near and far. We have a wonderful team of committed

staff and student leaders who provide a wel- coming, safe, and encouraging presence as we get to know individual students and come along- side them in their journey. We’re a resource as you ask questions about Jesus, Christianity, or life in general. There are a number of oppor- tunities for students to explore and grow in their faith, including: • Weekly campus worship open to interested students, staff, and faculty

• Weekly student-led worship services • Student campus ministry coordinator positions in each residence hall • Catholic Fellowship • En Christo urban ministry • Students for Life Club • Jubilation Dance Ministry • Shades of Africa Choir • Young Life Leadership • Emmaus Scholars Program (intentional Christian community)
