uachita Baptist University offers out- standing academic training in a Christ- centered learning community. Our rela- tionships run as deep as our 135-year history, with meaningful traditions and a strong spiritual foundation.
Addressing students’ diverse academic in- terests, our new majors include Community & Family Services, Finance, Music Industry, Nurs- ing, and Social Justice Studies as well as a BFA in Graphic Design. Not sure what you want to study? Our unique DISCOVER program is de- signed to help students find just the right major. With 99% of our most recent graduating class in a profession or graduate school within six months of graduation, Ouachita prepares stu- dents for the next step. Through Tiger Serve Day, our semi-annual community service project, the University has logged approximately 90,000 volunteer hours by students, faculty, and staff since 1997. Stu- dents also have the opportunity to participate in the European Study Tour, Biblical Studies Tour, and other international education options in settings such as Australia, France, Japan, and South Africa.
Ouachita Baptist University’s residential cam- pus is home to more than 40 campus organiza- tions as well as social clubs, intramural sports, and ministry opportunities. Nearly a quarter of our student body competes on one of our 14 NCAA Division II athletic teams.
