The Univer- sity believes in nurturing the creativity, diversity, talents, and skills of every student. Student success is accomplished through a tradition of academic excellence coupled with care for each student as an individual, which doesn’t end in the classroom or after an internship.

A commitment to social justice Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1929, Carlow University reflects its heritage with a

strong commitment to social justice. The Uni- versity instills in students and alumni a com- mitment to becoming ethical and responsible leaders committed to a just and merciful world. “ The small student-teacher ratio played a major factor in my success [at Carlow]. There were times when I needed extra help on my studies, and my professors went above and beyond to ensure my success. They always treated me with the utmost respect and were just as involved in my education as I was, which was a nice push when I needed it most.” — Sanju S. ’19, Nursing
